A Tribute to my Girls!

It was about this time two years ago that me and 3 other girls had our first babies! We got together shortly after and became inseparable! I love these girls with all my heart! We have also had two additions to the group! We did so many fun things together, getting together at least once a week! We would cook, sew, go to lunch, go shopping, watch movies, watch the kids play, swap stories, go shopping, cry together, laugh together, watch our kids grow...

At first, the kids just sat there and slept! =) Quite frequently we would go walk around the mall and spend a good chunk of our time in Motherhood Maternity feeding the babies.

As the kids grew up we started doing things geared more towards them... going to the zoo, a park, the treehouse museum, playing with toys, but we still got together once a week! It was my favorite day of the week and Ian's too!

I have sooooooo many cute pictures of the babies together! They are Ian's best friends!
And the moms are mine!

This is the original 4! It was sooo nice to have friends in the same situation as me... I learned so much from them and we were always there for each other! I miss them sooo much!

This is the 6 of us! It was quite the lineup when we were our and about! People gave us funny looks as stroller by stroller by stroller came by! We didn't care... we were just happy to be together and out of the house!

Our kids learned so much from each other as well! Together they learned how to share (although I think it is in the nature of a 2 year old to not want to share), how to sit up, how to crawl, how to walk (yes they all did walk!), they learned to throw tantrums to get what they want!

They loved to play together!! Now, three of us have another baby, two of us are pregnant and the other one is baby hungry =) We will always remember the good times we had and the love and support we had in our hard times! These friends are irreplacable and I will love them forever!

Thank you for EVERYTHING girls! I love you!

A Few Random Things

Coloring a picture for Daddo!
Miranda loves her jumparoo! I love having one too! (Thanks Carma and Jerry!) She can't quite reach the floor yet, but she moves just enough to make the music and lights turn on!

Ian cracks me up! He is so funny with the toys he likes! He wants them all at the same time. Notice his hat, backpack full of toys, and bike! He would sleep with these things if I would let him!

Ian has been such a good eater lately! Just getting him to try something is usually such a big ordeal! But lately he just seems to like it all! Tacos, burritos, enchiladas, green peppers, spaghetti with meatballs... the list goes on! Hope it lasts!

Miranda is just so sweet! Her smile just melts my heart every time!

Ian loves taking bubble baths!

Ian sometimes gets jealous of Miranda and her stuff... so he has to use it too! He sat like this for about 30 minutes while I did the dishes and cleaned the kitchen yesterday! Notice the binki in his mouth? Ya that's Miranda's too!

They are so cute together though! I love it! Ian just adores her and is always kissing her and talking to her and making her smile!

My heaven on earth!

Nik started school and has really like it so far! It is a lot of information every day, but he is doing good! He had his first test yesterday... so I guess his score will be the reality of things! He really likes lab too, he's a hands on kind of guy!
A FEW OTHER THINGS:
1. Miranda has been so funny the last couple of days while eating... she makes the cutest cooing noises and just smiles!
2. Ian helped me make chocolate chip cookies the other day and I let him mix the dough with his hands... he loved it!
3. At Walmart I put 50 cents into one of the little toy machines and out came this little squishy monkey... who knew... that was the best 50 cents I have ever spent!!!!!!!!! He loves that thing and carries it everywhere! =)
4. I am teaching myself how to cook again so if you have any good (EASY) recipes send them my way!
5. I now know how to make unlevened bread! =) (I was trying to make rolls, didn't quite turn out!)
I was also looking for fun things to do with Ian while Nik is at school that are very inexpensive... and if we could do them at home thats even better! Any ideas?

My Babies

So I've been wanting to do a comparison for a while... what do you think?
