Easter Festivities
Saturday we went to Nik's school for an Easter party/egg hunt! The kids had fun!
They especially liked opening their eggs!
Handsome guys!
Pretty girls..
Cute kids!
We decided to try coloring eggs and they did a pretty good job! By the time we were done 4 of them were very broken, but we were able to use 8! BUT the Easter Bunny forgot to hide them! I'm sure we will do it again next year... even if we don't hide or eat the eggs it is still fun to make them! The kids had a blast!
Kamryn has started smiling! It is so cute and it just makes my day every time she does it!
Kamryn's Blessing
So fun to have both families here for Kamryn's blessing!!
This is everyone that was able to be here for the blessing! (minus Heidi and her family!)
This is Uncle Cameron... Kamryn is named after him!! =)
These are the wonderful Priesthood holders that blessed her!
Very special day!! I felt very close to both my Grandmas who have passed away! Kamryn is also named after them! Nik gave a wonderful blessing and in it he blessed Kamryn to have strength and faith, the same strength and faith of those whose name she bears. I know all the people she is named after and it is a wonderful promise!! She will be very strong and very faithful! Thanks Nik for being a worthy priesthood holder and for blessing our family! We love you!
Friends
Some of our best friends from Utah were able to visit us while they were in AZ!
Ian and Boston spent their first two years together before we moved! Every time we get together they are still the best of friends!! Miranda and Carter got to know each other pretty fast too! We love when friends come to visit!! Love you Heidi!
OPEN INVITATION... any of our Utah friends are more than welcome to come and visit and stay with us anytime!!!!! =)
Garage Sale Victory and BLESSINGS
As some of you may know.. Nik plays the piano so well!! For him it is a wonderful escape from the world! Since we moved to AZ we have been without a piano and I have hated it for him! I have prayed many times that we could find a piano in our budget (very low) so that he could continue to play, especially where school is so stressful... I have just felt he needed to be able to play to relax and get school off his mind every once in a while!
Well I went garage sale shopping with my good friend Jamie and I was just along for the ride... wasn't going to buy anything!! We stopped to say hello to one of her friends and that friend jokingly said "there is a piano... anyone need a piano?" me: "I DO!!!!!" so I jumped out of the car and went to look at it. It is a few scratches in the pain here and there, and a couple notes that are out of tune, but for the most part it looked like a great piano! I tried calling Nik to see if he would be interested, but he didn't answer! For those of you who know Nik you know he hates when I go garage sale shopping and he hates it even more when I come home with something! =) I measured the pros and cons of coming home and telling him I bought a piano at a garage sale and the pros won!! I BOUGHT IT!! How much you wonder? $60!!!! I know.. amazing!
I love the way Heavenly Father blesses me and my family and I know I went garage sale shopping so I could find that piano for Nik! It is very loved and I love hearing Nik and the kids play it! I even sat down and played for the first time in a few years... it felt good!
What a great blessing!!
(Ian took this one!)
Hangin out with Dad!
Nik says he sometimes forgets we have three kids... probably because Kamryn is so good most of the time! =) But when he does remember she is there he sure loves her!
