It's A Girl!
Yeah we are so excited... it is a girl! Now we will have one of each! I'm so excited to get to buy pink!!!! (and purple and yellow and all those girly colors!) We don't have a name picked out yet, but do have a few we like! It might take us a while to decide though! I knew it was a girl all along, but it sure is nice to have it confirmed by ultrasound! I'm 16 weeks tomorrow...it seems to be going so slow and so fast all at the same time. Oh, other good news... Nik graduates tomorrow! He still has to take one class next semester for dental school, but it will be so nice for him to not be sooooo busy! I will actually get to spend lots of time with him! Things are going so well for us right now and I give all the credit to our Heavenly Father! He has blessed us so much and we are so thankful!

Tomorrow's the big day!
Thanks to all who voted, it seems more of you think I'm going to have a boy! =) We will see tomorrow... my appointment is first thing in the morning! I think its a girl, but would be really happy if its a boy because then Ian could have a little brother to be best buddies with! But I at some point need pink in my house too, so I guess we will see!

DENTAL SCHOOL HERE WE COME!
Oh Happy Day!! Nik got accepted to dental school this morning! They called us at 8:05 am... we were still in bed because Ian let us sleep in! It was a very nice way to start the day! We are so excited!! Nik has been doing the happy dance all day! I wish we could just move right now, but that would be impossible, Nik still has to take one more class at Weber State, and I'm in the middle of my pregnancy! =) I guess I will just have to be patient and wait! It is just a good feeling to know where we are going and not be in limbo anymore! And any of you that know me, you know I don't like to wait for things I want...I want that instant gratification! =) Thanks to all of you for your prayers, love and support!

Is it a Boy or a Girl?
Well I went to the Doctor on Wednesday and we couldn't tell what it was, but Dr. Housel said we would for sure find out on December 10, even if he has to have me stand on my head! =) I just love my doctor... I recommend him to everyone! Everything is looking good. He did a 3-D picture and although the baby is only about 2 inches big... it looks like a baby and we were able to count fingers and toes! They don't look like our fingers and toes yet, they are still kinda bubbly... like a stretched out gummy bear! I can't yet say that this baby is cute, but I'm sure it will be!
So thanks to all of you who have voted on my poll and I may cut the deadline short because I will probably find out on December 10 what it is!

So this is my sweet little pumpkin on Halloween! He was so much fun! He didn't quite get the whole going to people's doors and saying "trick or treat", but he did like the fact that everywhere we went he got candy and most people opened it and gave it to him! He was all sugared up when we got home!
He was pretty addicted to candy for a couple of days after and would just cry if he saw the candy bucket... we had to keep hiding it in different places. =) He has mostly forgotten now, although I do occasionally give him a treat!
In my opinion he is the cutest pumpkin that has ever been! Everywhere we went in his costume (before Halloween too) he got lots of compliments of being the cutest little pumpkin... I think if there was a costume contest... he would have won for sure! Not just because of his good looks, but because of his charm too! =) But I am kinda biased as his mother!

It is Halloween! We have a fun day ahead... but I have to back up and tell about a fun day a little while ago! I have some of the greatest friends in the whole world, and I feel so lucky!! A couple days ago some of those friends and I took our babies to that fun place out in Syracuse... lots of you have been there because I have seen pictures on your blog, but I just had to share! When we got there we just couldn't help but take pictures of the babies with the pumpkins...some of them liked it, some of them didn't!

None of them were quite sure what their crazy moms were doing! But you know us moms... we just have to have cute pictures! Ian doesn't even smile for the camera anymore because he always has it in his face!

I thought Ian made a cute pumpkin, and in fact that is what he is being for Halloween! I will do another post after tonight with his halloween costume...it is darling!
Next, we headed to the slides... the babies loved it! (well most of them) We started on the smaller one...we would send the babies down on their tummies all by themselves! They had a lot of fun! The looks on their faces as they are going down... there are no words to describe them!

Ian decided he wanted to be brave and go down facing forward... he did really good until the momentum got ahold of him and he ended up on his back... he didn't bonk his head because of his thick hood! =)

We them went on the bigger slides, but we didn't send the babies alone on these ones... they sat on our laps! When we went down the biggest one (you know the black tube one) Ian tensed up the whole way down, but when we got to the bottom he laughed and started heading back to do it again! He is so much fun to play with and spend my days with!

We then headed to the tractor/train ride....a big tractor pulled these cute cars around... Ian really liked this part, in fact he screamed when we were done and I started climbing out. It was so funny... he really liked it!

We then did a lot of other fun activities... like playing on the teeter-totter, the corn box, Ian really liked this corn fort that he could walk through! It was a really fun day. The other babies got to go on a hay ride as well, but Ian and I had to leave early because Nik and I were celebrating our 3rd wedding anniversary!

Great news everybody...I'm pregnant! I am due May 28, 2009 and that will put Ian and the new baby just about 2 years apart! It is perfect timing for us and we are really excited. I have been really sick, but know it will all be worth it in about 7 months! We love you all and thank you for all your support!

Hey everyone...this has been a fun, but busy week! On Tuesday we went up to Mantua and roasted hot dogs and took Carson's pictures...Unfortunately...Ian had a run in with the cement. He nose dived and almost fell into the fire pit (before the fire was started)! He is doing good though...no permanent brain damage as far as I can tell! =)

Well this weekend we went to Arizona! We drove to St. George on Friday (thank you so much Kasey, Meridee & Jackson for letting us invade your house!) and then we drove the rest of the way to Glendale Arizona on Sunday. We stopped at the Grand Canyon on the way...WOW that place is amazing! Nik and I loved the drive...Ian didn't exactly love it, but he did really good! He is a trooper! In Arizona we stayed with Jordan, Luke and Julie Rigby...she is one of my roomates from college. It was so much fun to stay with them and they were so nice to us! Julie made us this really amazing ravioli dinner on Sunday...I usually can't stand the ravioli with the cheese in the middle, but it was sooooooo yummy!!!! Thanks Julz! We made the 12 hour drive back after that! We went the Las Vegas way and stopped at Hoover Dam...that place is amazing too!!! Huge! Well we are now home and exhausted. But we had an awesome vacation!!!!!

So my friend Heidi showed me how to spice up my blog a little bit so keep an eye out...I'm planning on making a few changes!! Ian is getting to be such a big boy! He still manages to get whatever he wants from Nik and I think its pretty cute! He is walking and trying to run all over the place and loves to explore and get into all the things that he shouldn't! Nik is back in school and September 13 we are driving to Arizona to Interview for Dental School in Glendale Arizona!! Julie we will so have to come and see you guys! And happy birthday a few days ago! =) We are pretty excited about that because Arizona was our top choice...so please pray for us and Nik in his interview! I am doing really good...I'm working from home now so I get to have lots of time with my little guy! We have lots of fun! Today we went to the treehouse museum and yesterday we went to the Dinosaur Park with our friends! Nik is really busy with school and work, but always finds time for us! We love him and want him to get good grades so we aren't too demanding...just a kiss here and a hug there and for Ian a little wrestle time and then we are good!
Oh by the way I started a photography business and will be starting a photography blog soon so stay tuned! Thanks to everyone who has placed their confidence in me and had me capture their priceless memories...I love you all!

Guess What?
Ian is doing great! He is so darn cute and just does the funniest things. He is learning to walk, but he is a scardy cat so when he realizes he is walking by himself he sits down. I have started doing photography and would love to take your pictures. Kevin and Lindsey Brown are my first clients and I am really excited! I'm cheaper than most and I know you will all love my work. As a family we are just trying to enjoy the last three or four weeks of summer vacation before Nik has to go back to school. We have been going to the pool, the treehouse children's museum, just hanging out and playing hard. Nik took Ian jet skying up at Pineview a couple days ago. Ian loves to hang out with his daddy and play. Daddy is really good at playing! Well that is us for now! Hope you all are doing well. Until next time... Nik, Shauna and Ian

We just got back from St. George...we had a really nice weekend with Nik's family. We all went down there for the baby blessing of the newest cousin. There have been four new additions in the last year...it will be fun when they all get a little bit older and can play! Nik is working and taking an online class this summer and I am working about 12 hours a week. Ian is now crawling all over the place, pulling himself up to everything, and going up and down the stairs, although the going down part is far from graceful and sometimes very dangerous. He has seven teeth and is learning a little bit of sign language. He loves his mom and dad and makes us both so happy! We can't believe he is almost one year old....my how time flies, especially when your having fun! I loved the talk in General Conference this last April about young mothers and living in the moment and have really embraced that idea. It makes it so much easier to enjoy Ian and not worry about being the "perfect mom" so we have lots of fun and make lots of messes! He is such a blessing in our lives and brings so much joy to our home! I thank Heavenly Father every day for him and his sweet spirit!
