Ian's last day as an only child!

So today I had a list of things I wanted/needed to do before we have the baby tomorrow, BUT then we woke up and decided to go to the ZOO!!! I figured since it was Ian's last day alone with us he should have some good quality FUN! So we got ready, packed a lunch and headed out. We had a blast... Ian was funny, he would see an animal (such as an elephant) and want to stay there forever and watch it, sometimes he would cry when we tried to go see another animal, but then we would get to the next one and he would want to watch that one forever! It was soooo funny!

It was so nice just having a day to be us! Ian has really needed some daddy time, and some time to be with both of us together so today was PERFECT!

When we asked Ian if he wanted to ride the train he got so excited!!
So we rode the train and he loved it!

At the end of the day when he was so tired he could barely smile we decided to go home (2:30pm) we were walking out and he saw that big black ball that spins in the water... he was in heaven! He played with that ball for a long time... he was wet and very happy when we left!

I think Ian had a very good last day as an only child! We are so excited to welcome Miranda into our lives tomorrow. Even Ian can't wait to hold her and give her a hug! He is always kissing my tummy and saying "hello in there" to her! It will be fun to finally see them together!

The baby schedule!

So we are scheduled to have Miranda on Wednesday! We can't wait to welcome this little angel into our family. Tonight we were telling Ian that Miranda was coming soon and he got so excited. He was kissing my belly and telling her that he loves her. It was so sweet and I can't wait for him to meet her! He will be such a good big brother! I will put pictures of our sweet baby girl on as soon as I feel up to it (which is hopefully soon after =)! Keep us in your prayers!

Baby Shower

My dear friend Heidi threw me a baby shower this past weekend (thanks again) and it was so much fun! I loved seeing everyone and having some girl time!

We played this game where everyone had a piece of construction paper and they had to put it behind their backs and rip out the best baby they could. You should have seen what most of them ended up looking like... it was hilarious! Nicole Bradford was the winner of that game!

We also played a game where everyone had to cut a piece of yarn however long they thought I was around at the widest part of my tummy! Lindsey was the winner of this game... she was about 5 or 6 inches too big! So the real measurement is 39 1/2 inches at 37.5 weeks!

I feel like I am going to POP any time, and I just might! I am so ready to have this baby girl, but I guess I'll wait till she decides to come! =) I am dilated 2-3cm and am really uncomfortable so hopefully I don't have to wait too much longer!
Nik went to Arizona this last weekend to find us a house to live in! We will be renting from my Uncle and Nik narrowed it down to his top 4 houses that he likes! We are so excited to move and start that part of our lives! I feel so blessed to be where we are right now with such exciting things ahead of us!
We can't wait to have little Miranda in our lives, and Ian is such a good boy... he brings so much Joy and Happiness to our lives already! He will be the best big brother and is so excited to meet our new baby!
Thanks again to all my friends I love you all!

Lots has been happening!

So we have had a busy past month or so... we moved from Nik's parents house to my parent's house, we took a trip to St. George, we played mom and dad to 9 other kids beside Ian for a whole week while their parents were in Hawaii, and I'm pregnant as ever and am counting down to May! Ian is doing very well, except he has not been sleeping the best lately, but I guess he will learn! He refuses to go to Nursery, so I guess we'll just keep trying! =) He is talking like crazy... full sentences that totally make sense! I can actually have a conversation with him and understand his wants and needs! He loves to sit at the piano and play songs and sing. When he sings a song he waves his arm in the air like he is leading the music... it is really funny! We are excited to be moving to Arizona in July and are excited to already have friends down there! Nik is just taking one class this semester so he is home a lot more. I have been doing a lot more pictures these days too... you can check them out on my photography blog... http://www.spendlovephotography.blogspot.com/ I have been having a lot of fun with them! I'm also doing pictures for my dad's website for his new dental building! If you need a dentist...I know a really good one! =) Nothing else is new... just playing hard and loving life!

These are a couple pictures from our St. George trip... it was so NICE to experience some warm weather, I'm so ready for it to be warm up here too... what is with all this snow?

Nursery

So this past Sunday I decided I would take Ian to Nursery to see how he would do (he is not 18 months for another couple of weeks). We got there a little early and started playing with the toys, then the teacher, Kristen, came and I explained to Ian that Mommy was going to go and that he could play with Kristen (he kept calling her grandma (= ), and he said bye bye and I left. I went to Relief Society and while I was sitting there I almost started crying... I didn't realize it would be sad when Ian went to Nursery...I thought I would be so happy! Well luckily he only lasted about 15 minutes and Kristen brought him to me and I could tell that he had been crying because he was doing that sniffling body shaking thing... that was kinda sad too! Kristen was great though... she was so nice! After we sat back down in Relief Society I said "See, when you needed me she brought you back to me, so when you go to Nursery next week you don't have to be scared... because they can come find me." He looked at me and then said "thank you grandma, thank you grandma." It was so cute... he was saying thank you to Kristen for bringing him back to me =) throughout the rest of Relief Society he would randomly say "thank you grandma"... it was pretty funny! If you guys have any tips on transitioning them into Nursery I would love to hear them! Also, any tips on not being sad when they actually go? =)

Happy Holidays!

This is my cute family on Christmas! We had such a blast this year! Ian was soooo much fun!

He got a rocking horse from Santa, and some blocks. The horse makes horse noises and moves his head and tail. =) Ian thinks its pretty cool!

It was a blast watching him open presents... he was so excited to open all of the presents...even the ones that weren't his!

On Christmas Eve we were at the Spendlove's and we did the nativity... Ian was a sheep! In the picture he is sitting in front of the guy wearing the green robe... that red thing in his hands is a cup of marshmallows! =) This little sheep has a short attention span! =) It was really fun!

Ian is such a stud... he is talking like crazy these days, in sentences, we just love him!

We took him to see Santa earlier in December and he liked him ok! He just looked at him and said 'Ho Ho Ho', but Ian really like Santa's bells!

What a fun time of year, especially with such a sweet little boy! One thing that I love that Ian does... is he will say "So Much" to me... and I know that he is saying I love you so much (because that is what I say to him!) He is such a joy in our lives and we feel so blessed to have him! We are so grateful for all of our blessings right now! There are so many!!!! Hope you all had a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

It's A Girl!

Yeah we are so excited... it is a girl! Now we will have one of each! I'm so excited to get to buy pink!!!! (and purple and yellow and all those girly colors!) We don't have a name picked out yet, but do have a few we like! It might take us a while to decide though! I knew it was a girl all along, but it sure is nice to have it confirmed by ultrasound! I'm 16 weeks tomorrow...it seems to be going so slow and so fast all at the same time. Oh, other good news... Nik graduates tomorrow! He still has to take one class next semester for dental school, but it will be so nice for him to not be sooooo busy! I will actually get to spend lots of time with him! Things are going so well for us right now and I give all the credit to our Heavenly Father! He has blessed us so much and we are so thankful!

Tomorrow's the big day!

Thanks to all who voted, it seems more of you think I'm going to have a boy! =) We will see tomorrow... my appointment is first thing in the morning! I think its a girl, but would be really happy if its a boy because then Ian could have a little brother to be best buddies with! But I at some point need pink in my house too, so I guess we will see!

DENTAL SCHOOL HERE WE COME!

Oh Happy Day!! Nik got accepted to dental school this morning! They called us at 8:05 am... we were still in bed because Ian let us sleep in! It was a very nice way to start the day! We are so excited!! Nik has been doing the happy dance all day! I wish we could just move right now, but that would be impossible, Nik still has to take one more class at Weber State, and I'm in the middle of my pregnancy! =) I guess I will just have to be patient and wait! It is just a good feeling to know where we are going and not be in limbo anymore! And any of you that know me, you know I don't like to wait for things I want...I want that instant gratification! =) Thanks to all of you for your prayers, love and support!

Is it a Boy or a Girl?

Well I went to the Doctor on Wednesday and we couldn't tell what it was, but Dr. Housel said we would for sure find out on December 10, even if he has to have me stand on my head! =) I just love my doctor... I recommend him to everyone! Everything is looking good. He did a 3-D picture and although the baby is only about 2 inches big... it looks like a baby and we were able to count fingers and toes! They don't look like our fingers and toes yet, they are still kinda bubbly... like a stretched out gummy bear! I can't yet say that this baby is cute, but I'm sure it will be!

So thanks to all of you who have voted on my poll and I may cut the deadline short because I will probably find out on December 10 what it is!
